How it works

1. Download a statement from your card issuer. It's the PDF or CSV they already give you every month.
2. Import it into Local Budget: open the file in the app, or use the Share sheet from Files, Safari, or Mail to send it straight in. Every transaction is read on your phone, and scanned or photographed statements work too.
3. See where your money goes: categories, budgets, trends, and bills.

What it costs

Your first 150 imported transactions are free. That's a couple of months of real use, enough to know if it fits. After that, unlimited importing is a small monthly or yearly subscription (exact pricing for your region is on the App Store). That's the whole business model: you pay for the app. No ads, no selling data, no "free" funded by your information.

Privacy you can check

There's no bank connection, no account to create, and no server on the other end, so your financial data simply has nowhere to go. It even works in airplane mode. Don't take our word for it: the App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected."

What if it can't read my statement?

It handles the major U.S. and Canadian card formats, and CSV import covers nearly everything else. If a statement doesn't parse correctly, or you hit any bug, email it to localbudget@tripletnotes.com. We're committed to making Local Budget a genuinely high-quality, reliable app, so parsing issues and bugs are a priority: fixes ship fast, we read every message, and every unusual statement makes the app better for the next person.
